Silver
Silver is one of the key elements in human history, being one of the first five metals ever discovered. But upon the mass discovery in 1492 A.D. of silver across South America, the precious metal grew in popularity. Today, it's use has expanded into the production of electronics and automobiles, and it is deemed critical to society's technological advancement. With a historical gold/silver ratio of 1:16 and spot price at roughly half of the all-time highs, silver appears to be an attractive investment option with room to grow.
Gold
Gold’s imperviousness to corrosion made it a symbol of immortality and power among ancient peoples, and because it was rare, shiny and eye-catching, ruling classes used it as a symbol of status and influence. First discovered in Egypt, its real journey began in 3600 BC, when it began being smelted, primarily for use in jewelry, by Egyptians.

Croesus (560-546 BCE) was the King of Lydia, a region in modern-day Turkey His wealth, it is said, came from the sands of the River Pactolus in which the legendary King Midas washed his hands to rid himself of the Midas Touch and in so doing, made the sands of the river rich with gold.
Croesus’ father, Alyattes (635-585 BCE), is credited as the first to mint coins in the world. The first electrum pieces were composed of a naturally occurring alloy combination of gold and silver. Croesus later minted coins of gold with a standardized purity, eventually leading to modern-day bullion.
Approximately 500 years later, the Romans would establish their own monetary system making use of gold.

Gemstones
Natural gemstones retain and often grow in value because they're beautiful, rare and desired. Unlike other types of investments, however, gemstones are not as easily liquidated. This drawback is especially true for rare, precious stones and jewelry that would only appeal to elite buyers. Gemstone investing can seem exciting, but it is highly speculative. Collections should be based on what speaks to you, and not on anticipated ROI. The term "investment-grade" is often tossed around by those who want to sell gems or try to convince other people to invest in them. However, there are no formal standards for what constitutes investment-grade gemstones.
Crystals
It is believed that the energy of a crystal flows through the geometry of the stone, and that different crystals produce various healing energies...the benefits of which can be felt a number of ways. Crystals can be grounding, calming, or promote focus and concentration, depending on the type of stone selected. Crystals are the most orderly structure that exists in nature, meaning they have the lowest amount of entropy.
Holding or gazing at a crystal is a simple and effective way to tune into its benefits. Many crystal healers recommend wearing crystals on your skin or in your clothes to achieve the greatest benefits. Adding crystals to your decor can maintain healthy feng shui within your home. Building a crystal grid can focus your intentions.

Vintage Jewelry
Before the Industrial Revolution, all gemstones were cut and set by candlelight. Each piece was conceived and manufactured by highly skilled jewelers who were often 5th, 6th, or 7th generation in the industry. Jewelers often apprenticed for years until they acquired the skills to become master jewelers and create independently. Each stone was meticulously set and showcased the talent of the artist. Modern commercial jewelry is mass-produced and lacks the durability of vintage pieces.
Antique and vintage jewelry are time-capsules of each era. Every detail on a piece of jewelry tells a tale; every nuance is a story. Most gemstones have ancient lore or mythology associated with their abilities to heal, inspire, protect, and attract. The construction of a piece of jewelry gives you clues to a piece’s birth year and heritage.
